PUBLIC HEARING
A
public hearing was held by the Spalding County Board of Commissioners in their
office in the Courthouse Annex, Thursday, April 20, 2000 beginning at 5:45
o’clock p.m. with Commissioners, Michael Kendall, Martha McDaniel, and Earle
Childres present. Commissioners Johnie
McDaniel and Merrill Massengale were absent.
Also present were County Manager Mike Ruffin, Deputy County Manager
William Wilson and Executive Secretary Phyllis Doane.
Chairman
Kendall called the meeting to order.
The
order of business was to receive comments regarding the establishment of a
lighting district within Stanfield West Subdivision.
There
was no one present who wished to speak.
County
Manager Ruffin commented to the Board that Mr. Hugh Rainey had contacted the
office by phone and asked that the Board remove him from this district as he
lives on the corner lot of Wilder/Rover-Zetella Road, Lot 6 and his home faces
Rover-Zetella Road. There will be a
fixture on the rear portion of his lot; however, he does not feel he will
benefit from this light and should pay for this light. The other five (5) lots on Rover-Zetella are
not in the district.
Motion made by Commissioner Martha McDaniel to approve street lighting application and to exclude Lot 6. Commissioner Childres seconded the motion and motion was unanimously approved.
Upon
motion by Commissioner Childres, seconded by Commissioner Martha McDaniel the
meeting was unanimously adjourned.
County
Clerk/County Manager Chairman
