BUDGET REVIEW SESSION
The
Board of Commissioners of Spalding County, Georgia, held a Budget Review
Session on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 in their Conference Room in the Courthouse
Annex in the City of Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia, beginning at 4:00
o’clock p.m. with Commissioners Earle Childres, Martha McDaniel, Merrill
Massengale, Johnie McDaniel and Michael Kendall present. Also present were County Manager Mike Ruffin
and Deputy County Manager William Wilson.
Also present were some representatives from the Spalding County Board of
Health and the Sheriff’s Department.
The
following action was taken:
Motion made by Commissioner Martha McDaniel the approval of $167,165 for Fiscal Year 2001 for the Health Department and authorize the Board of Health to carry over any unexpended funds into its Fund Balance until $100,000 has accumulated at which time any amount in excess thereof is to used to reduce the county’s annual appropriation. Commissioner Childres seconded the motion and motion was unanimously approved by a vote of 5-0.
Upon motion by Commissioner Martha McDaniel, seconded by Commissioner Childres the amendments to the County’s Pay Plan was approved by a vote of 4-0 (Johnie McDaniel was absent) as presented as follows:
