encompasses 201 square miles. Bordered by Clayton, Coweta, Fayette,
Henry, Butts, Lamar, Pike, and Meriwether counties, Spalding County
lies 40 miles south of downtown Atlanta and 55 miles northwest of
Macon.

Directions
Spalding County Community Development is located in Suite 203 of the
Spalding County Annex, across from the County Courthouse.
From Atlanta/ North Metro Atlanta: Take I-75 South to
Griffin-Jonesboro exit for U.S. Hwy. 19-41. Stay on U.S. 19-41 South
until the Georgia Hwy. 16 exit (Griffin-Newnan). Make a left onto Ga.
16. Continue on Ga. 16 (Taylor Street) until you reach Hill Street
(Ga. 155). Make a left onto Hill; continue north for about 2 blocks.
Immediately after Solomon Street, take the next right onto Slaton
Avenue. There is a large parking lot. The rear entrance to the Annex
is visible from this lot.
From East Metro Atlanta or McDonough: Take Georgia Hwy. 155
south into Griffin. After Ga. 155 funnels into Hill Street, take a
left onto Slaton Avenue. There is a large parking lot. The rear
entrance to the Annex is visible from this lot.
From Barnesville, Thomaston or Zebulon: Take Business Highway
19-41 (Georgia 155) north into Griffin. Follow Ga. 155 north and take
a right onto Slaton Avenue, immediately north of Solomon Street. There
is a large parking lot. The rear entrance to the Annex is visible from
this lot.
