The Spalding County Detention Center houses inmates who are both pre-trial, post-trial, and probationers. They are also charged with housing inmates for the City of Griffin. Staff transports inmatesto and from State prisons, transports mental health consumers, picks up wanted persons in and out of state, and assists with Fugitives-Governors Warrants.

The Inmate Physician Services provides medical screening for all newly arrested inmates and provides follow-up care for all inmates.
