The public is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, September 1st, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmont Park. The ceremony will take place outside of the Community Center located on Blanton Avenue.

The construction and renovation, of this site’s structures and amenities, has been made possible through 2016 SPLOST funding. Featured projects for the park will include a walking trail, new playgrounds, sand volleyball, new wood flooring in the gymnasium, a new air conditioning system for the community center and construction of new pavilions and pavilion restrooms.

This unique project demonstrates the commitment of Spalding County to enhance the quality of life for our citizens.
