In September of 2020, Spalding County broke ground on the new Animal Care and Control facility. The project was voted on in the 2016 SPLOST and is slated to be completed by Fall 2021. It took the community’s vote to bring this project to life and to give everyone a sense of ownership citizens may purchase bricks (either a 4×8 or 8×8) to be placed at the entrance to the new Animal Care and Control facility. Dedicate a brick to a loved one, in memory or honor of your favorite four-legged friend, or place your family’s name on it.
