Cpl. Eli Caldwell of the Spalding County Correctional Institution was awarded the Georgia Prison Warden’s Association Scholarship for 2019. Each year the Georgia Prison Warden’s Association (GPWA) awards thirty (30) $1,500 scholarships to Department of Corrections, County Prison employees or family members who are actively pursuing college degrees in the Criminal Justice field.

Cpl. Caldwell is currently enrolled at South Crescent Technical College and is working on dual degrees in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science. Cpl. Caldwell began his career with the Spalding County Correctional Institution in August of 2016 and was promoted to Corporal in May of 2018.
