The Spalding County Fire Department and Griffin Fire Rescue will join with Safe Kids Spalding of WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital to host a child car seat safety check event. The car seat safety checks are free, however, plan for the assessment to take at least 30 minutes per car seat. The children should also attend the event to ensure a proper fit. The event will be on:
Saturday, September 7, 2019
Walmart (Parking Lot) 1569 North Expressway Griffin, Georgia
9:00 a.m. – Noon
Appointments are preferred but drive ups will be worked in on a first come first serve basis after appointments. To schedule an appointment to have your car seat checked at this event, please contact Kim Stephens of Safe Kids Spalding at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital at 770-233-6885.
Safe Kids Spalding is the community coalition for child safety and is a non-profit organization. Donations are welcome and all donations received for the car seats will be invested back into their efforts toward reducing childhood accidental injuries and deaths in our community.
