The Spalding County Public Works Department will be closing the Vaughn Road Bridge for much needed repairs. Vaughn Road will be closed for a minimum of 8 hours a day beginning Thursday, August 22nd through Friday, August 23rd and the closure will be from 8:00 AM and until 4:30 PM each day.

Local traffic traveling north on Vaughn Road will be allowed from Hwy 16 to Westwood Drive and local traffic traveling south on Vaughn Road from W. Ellis Road the closure will be just before Westwood Drive.

The detour for Vaughn Road will be as follows:

Motorists traveling on Hwy 16 should take Moon Road, then turn right on West Ellis Road, then turn left back onto Vaughn Road.

Motorists traveling south on Vaughn Road should turn right on West Ellis Road, turn left on Moon Road, turn left on Hwy 16 and then turn left on Vaughn Road.
