Each year Spalding County fire fighters take to the streets as part of the Fill the Boot events across the country to help kids and adults with muscular dystrophy live longer and grow stronger. Every dollar raised through the Fill the Boot initiative helps the Muscular Dystrophy Association fund groundbreaking research, care for kids and adults from day one and empower families with services and support in hometowns across America.

To date, more than $607 million has been raised through the MDA Fill the Boot program and other fire fighter events that support MDA families and accelerate treatments and cures. With our collective strength, working together to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harm of this devastating disease that can take away physical strength, independence and life.

We encourage all Spalding County Citizens to come out and support our local fire fighters in this important event. The Spalding County Fire Department will be filling their boots with donations for MDA on:
