Each year in the spring, 4-H students compete at District Project Achievement. This year the competition was held on Friday, February 28th through Sunday, March 1st. This is a public speech competition hosted by Georgia 4-H. Students in 5th and 6th grade compete at Cloverleaf DPA, while those in 7th-12th grade attend Junior & Senior DPA.
536 4-H members from 36 counties in northwest Georgia competed in their project areas at Rock Eagle 4-H Center during District Project Achievement. This was the culmination of project work done over the last 12 months. 4-H members gave oral presentations and completed project portfolios for this competition. Spalding County took 26 participants.

Jhaycee Barnes, daughter of Corenza and Jhondra Barnes, 2019-2020 Northwest District Senior Board member, served in a leadership capacity during the weekend. Kaylee Collins, Shane Collins and Joey and Candy Durden, were elected to Northwest District Senior Board and will serve in that capacity for the 2020-2021 4-H year beginning in August 2020.
Three Senior 4-H members, Will Alexander, Kyle Coombs, and Gabriel Whitlock, were recognized at the Senior Banquet on Saturday night, February 29th, receiving their 4-H graduation cords and a gift from the Georgia 4-H Foundation. Three 4-H members won the opportunity to compete in their project areas on the State level during 4-H State Congress in July: Jhaycee Barnes, Kaylee Collins, and Elyce Wages.
