Animal Shelter Hours Open to Public: Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Animal Control Operation Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Animal Shelter is open on Saturday for adoptions from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. (excluding holidays)
From the North
If you are coming to the Spalding County Animal Shelter from Atlanta or North of Griffin, take I-75 south to the point where I-75 and highways 19-41 intersect North of Jonesboro. Bear to the right onto highways 19-41 and continue South on 19-41 until you reach the Williamson road (highway 362) exit just South of Griffin. Take this exit and bear to the left as though you’re going toward the city of Griffin. From here, take your first left onto Justice Boulevard. The animal shelter will be on your right, behind the Spalding County Correctional Institute.
From the South
If you are coming to the Spalding County Animal Shelter from South of Griffin, travel to highways 19-41 and go north until you reach the Williamson Road (highway 362) exit just South of Griffin. Take this exit and bear to the right as though you are going toward the city of Griffin. From here, take your first left onto Justice Boulevard. The animal shelter will be on your right, behind the Spalding County Correctional Institute.
