Spalding County Correctional Institute participated in their 3rd annual Christmas Care Package drive for Meals on Wheels. Employees collected blankets to be delivered as part of Christmas Care Packages to Spalding County Meals on Wheels recipients. Blankets were hand delivered along with fruit baskets furnished through the 2018 Thanks Mom and Dad Grant Fund. One hundred fruit baskets and Christmas Care Packages were delivered by hardworking program staff and volunteers.
“Each year [Meal on Wheels] recipients are happy and extremely appreciative of the gifts they receive. Many are alone during the Christmas, and it is important that they know someone cares and is thinking about them during this holiday season. For Christmas 2019, Spalding County Meals on Wheels wishes to expand their Christmas Care Package drive.
