October 21st, 2019

According to Jeff Kenerly, Chief Ranger with the Georgia Forestry Commission, the burn ban restrictions that were put into place due to the drought conditions many counties have been experiencing has been lifted. The improved weather conditions and rain still in the forecast has assisted in allowing the burn ban to be lifted.

The Georgia Forestry Commission will continue to monitor the fire and weather conditions in each county to determine if burn bans will be needed in the future.
