Spalding County Manager William P. Wilson Jr. announced today the appointment of Miles Neville as Spalding County Human Resources Director. The appointment, effective August 13, 2019, concludes an exhaustive search that identified several competitive and qualified candidates.

Mr. Neville comes to us with more than 27 years of experience in human resources. He has worked in both the private sector and most recently has spent 15 years with the City of Griffin as the Human Resources Director. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Clayton State University and has earned the highest level of human resource certifications; an SPHR from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Mr. Neville is a resident of Spalding County and has a daughter who will be beginning her sophomore year at Yale University in the Fall. William Wilson, County Manager stated: “Mr. Neville will make a great addition to the Spalding County team, his years of experience in Human Resources and his knowledge of both the City and County governments will be a great benefit to the employees and the citizens of Spalding County.”
