Marcoyia Sutton and Zaira Owens with Spalding County 4-H wereaccepted to attend “Setting your Sights on Medical School” at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. 4-H and Mercer University School of Medicine partnered with 9th-12th grade 4-H members to provide an opportunity to explore medical school.
Participants learn about rural health, conduct mock medical student assignments, learn about application procedures, scholarship opportunities and tour the school and labs. Setting your Signs on Medical School provides a hands-on learning opportunity for 4-H youth interested in a career in medicine.
The next “Setting Your signs on Medical School” will be held on the Savannah Campus of the Mercer University School of Medicine on Wednesday, March, 28, 2019. 9th-12th grade 4-H’ers who are interested will receive application instructions in early 2019.
