September 25, is National Voter Registration Day 2018
Spalding County Board of Elections and Voter Registration plans events to register voters and encourage participation in future elections.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST, Tuesday, September 25, 2018, the Board of Elections and Voter Registration will host a National Voter Registration Day 2018 event at the Elections and Voter Registration Office as part of a massive 50-state effort to register thousands of voters.
The goal for the 2018 National Voter Registration Day is to increase participation in the electoral process by encouraging Americans to register to vote and come out to the polls for the November 6th General Election.
As a nonpartisan “holiday” for democracy, National Voter Registration Day counts on thousands of partners and volunteers across the political spectrum to assist in voter registration on this day. Started in 2012 for the presidential election, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual time when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote.
Spalding County citizens are encouraged to come out and register to vote at the Elections and Voter Registration Office, Southern Crescent Technical College and online at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov during this event on National Voter Registration Day. Come out and meet the community and vendors while you register to vote.
Let your voice be heard, come out and register to vote “Let’s Go”.
