The Spalding County Comprehensive Plan is underway and there are a number of opportunities to learn about the project and provide input. The Plan will be an opportunity to assess current conditions and update land use, housing, economic development, cultural preservation, and protection of environmental resources.

The planning process will include a robust public involvement component. Activities, including public meetings, participation in local events, social media, surveys and other forms of communications, will be conducted to ensure public awareness and feedback.

“We need the public’s input to ensure that this plan reflects the needs and wishes of the people who will be living and working in Spalding County,” said Chad Jacobs, Spalding County Community Development Director.
