Spalding County Fire Chief Kenny West announced today the promotion of Firefighter Kevin Hollums. The panel style interview process was conducted with Hollums being named to the position.

Lieutenant Hollums began his career with the Spalding County Fire Department in February 2006. Throughout his career, Hollums has worked to obtain certifications that will benefit the department in his position of Lieutenant which includes being a member of the Central Georgia Search and Rescue Team (GSAR). Lt. Hollums has worked to obtain certifications in structural collapse, rope rescue, confined space rescue, trench rescue and is a Hazardous Materials Technician, along with being an Emergency Medical Technician.

Spalding County Fire Chief Kenny West acknowledged, “Lieutenant Hollums has worked tirelessly to be a vital member of the department with his knowledge and dedication. We look forward to the opportunity that this new role will offer Kevin.”
