Spalding County Fire Chief Kenny West announced today the retirement of Firefighter Chris Holloway, who has been a dedicated long term employee for over 20 years.
Firefighter Chris Holloway began his career with the Spalding County Fire Department in July 24, 1995 as a Firefighter. During his career, Holloway has worked to obtain additional certifications that have assisted the department in the area of rescue. Holloway has been a member of the Georgia Search and Rescue Team – Central Division for many years with specialization certifications in rope rescue, trench rescue and confined space rescue to name a few.
Spalding County Fire Chief Kenny West stated that, “Chris’ knowledge and technical skills have served this department and community well. Chris has been a valuable part of the Spalding County Fire Department. We congratulate Chris and wish him well in this next chapter of his life.”
The department is hosting a Retirement Luncheon for Firefighter Holloway on January 30 from 1pm-3pm at the Spalding County Fire Department – Headquarters Station located at 600 Carver Road.
