SPALDING COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES TIM HENDERSON PROMOTION TO BATTALION CHIEF

Spalding County Fire Deputy Chief Jamie Clark and Deputy Chief Glenn Polk announced the promotion of Captain Tim Henderson to Battalion Chief. A panel style interview process was conducted with Henderson being named to the position.

Battalion Chief Henderson began his career with the Spalding County Fire Department in August 1990 as a Firefighter. During his time with Spalding County, Battalion Chief Henderson has worked to obtain advanced certifications in Fire Investigations and technician levels of Hazardous Materials Technician, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Trench Rescue Technician and Rope Rescue Technician. He is also an active member of the Georgia Search and Rescue Team.

Since beginning his career with the Spalding County Fire Department, in August 1990, Henderson has worked his way through the ranks and was promoted to Lieutenant in August 2001 and to Captain in April 2014. Battalion Chief Henderson resides in Senoia with his wife Martha and sons Christopher and Daniel.

The Spalding County Fire Department acknowledges, “Henderson’s knowledge and understanding of the position of Battalion Chief will serve this department and community well. Tim has been and will continue to be a valuable part of the Spalding County Fire Department.”
