Spalding County Office of Homeland Security will host a county-wide tornado drill on Wednesday, February 3rd. All local businesses, governments, and residents are encouraged to take part by testing your preparedness plan. This community-wide drill is being held in coordination with Georgia’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week.

Spalding County will be hosting a press conference immediately following the drill to showcase our ongoing commitment to community preparedness. The press conference will be held at the Spalding County Annex located at 119 East Solomon Street Griffin, GA 30223 beginning 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 3rd. The county will be announcing its expansion of the weather siren system as part of the press conference and the media and other guests will be given the opportunity to witness the County’s preparedness first-hand.
