Spalding County Public Works will be hosting the Christmas Tree Recycling Event on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and residents can drop off their Christmas trees at one of the following sites in Spalding County:
Carver Road Recycling Center
610 Carver Road
Area residents will go green and drop off Christmas trees to be chipped into mulch or used as a wildlife habitat. The program has been a holiday tradition in Georgia for 27 years and is the largest tree recycling program in the nation. The purpose of the event is to educate the public on recycling and environmental conservation while allowing communities to put discarded Christmas trees to good use.
Please note that your Christmas Trees will be accepted at all of the Spalding County Recycle Centers; however to participate in the “Bring One For the Chipper Program” you will need to take your tree to the Carver Road Recycling Center location.
